Diving in Bali is a unique experience. Breathing underwater and tuning into this magic environment is something that cannot be easily described. However, many dive sites can be explored and appreciated in a few meters of water only.
Bali Griyasari offers a variety of daily dive trips around the best Bali dive sites.
Choose from the dive areas below and create your own dive packages:
Tulamben is one of popular dive site in Bali and located in East Bali. its about 2 and half hours driver from Nusa Dua and Kuta area. The American ship US Liberty, built in 1915 and was des troyed by Japanese submarine in World War II. It sank on sand floor at depth of 8 meters and slope down to max depth of 35 meters. Diving on this ship wreck is very popular.
Amed is located in East Bali, Karangasem Regency and its about 2 hours and 45 minutes from Denpasar or Kuta Area. Coral grow 2 meters and slope down to 30 meters. Napoleon wrasses and Reef Sharks often seen here. Along the wall you will find beautiful and colourful corals. Dive Spot Bunutan / Amed: A rich coral slope, masses of reef fish, and an unmissable colony of giant Garden eels. The best corals at 25- 30m, so ideally dived on Nitrox. Generally calm conditions and warm waters.
Menjangan is famous for having Bali’s most beautiful wall-diving. The walls descend to varying depths, ranging from 20 m – 60 m+. These walls offer the greatest diversity of gorgonian fans in Bali.
The Anchor Wrek Dive Spot near Menjangan: Peek over the side of the boat and see the anchor in the clear blue water. Follow it down to 35m and find the broken remains of an old wooden slave ship. With more often than not, sharks eyeing you, carefully explore a little deeper in these warm, clear & calm conditions. To off-gas just drift gently back up, past the Batfish and different Snappers, along a rich & healthy stretch of wall.
Diving at Penida Island can be very rewarding with exhilarating drift diving and the chance to get up close and personal with manta rays and sunfish; however, the bizarre ever changing currents make this a location for experienced divers only. Highlights are: Manta Point, Blue Corner and Gamat Bay.
The dive sites in Sanur are perfect for those divers who do not have the time to travel to the North or East of Bali for diving. The Sanur dive sites are just a few minutes from the shore and are home to an enormous amount of marine life.
Sanur Reef is also a good dive site for dive training or for a scuba review if you need to refresh your dive skills because it is shallow and has a sandy bottom next to a coral reef. We usually dive to 8 metres at Sanur Reef.
Our daily Padang Bai dive trips on the East Coast of Bali take in 4 of the best Padang Bai dives from the boat. (Amuk Bay, Gili Biaha, Gili Tempekong, Blue Lagoon). Other dive sites on request.
Blue Lagoon: The white sandy beach and shallow clear blue waters of the Blue Lagoon (near Padang Bay) make this an excellent site for both snorkelers and divers. Underwater, the bright sand and healthy bommies always offer something interesting; Octopus, Eels, Crocodile Fish and Stonefish to name just a few. Head north and you can find a short but rich stretch of wall.
